Diameters
.082"
in diameter to .055
Round cords from .082" in diameter to .055 are
ideal for sanding or cleaning paint from grooves in
wood spindles, cleaning blocked water or other fluid
fittings, or sanding or cleaning larger metal parts.
.040"
in diameter to .018
Round cords from .040" in diameter to .018 are used
to clean plumbers putty from pipe threads or remove rust
or other buildup from pipe threads. These cords work on
smaller metal parts as well.
FLAT
TAPES
The flat tapes are ideal for various wood projects such
as rounding out edges on decorative wood projects or to
round out grooves on a wood spindle. Because of the larger
surface area of the flat tapes they can sand a larger
area than the cords.
Abrasives
Aluminum Oxide:
Tough, long life abrasive that is well suited for grinding
high tensile materials such as carbon and alloy steels,
and all ferrous materials.
Silicon Carbide:
Hard and sharp abrasive used on non-ferrous materials
such as aluminum, brass, bronze, magnesium, and titanium.
Also for other non-ferrous materials such as rubber, plastic,
and fibrous wood.
Crocus:
Iron oxide particles that essentially polishes metal components.
It can be used as a two part process with the Aluminum
Oxide or Silicon Carbide.
